Herbal studies is such a wonderful subject for people of all ages.
With an increasing push for a tech savvy world, we find many of us are craving a more nature centered life. So many people are spending most of their days with their faces in devices. Even in public schools students are using tablets or laptops in class, and teachers are using technology more and more in their lessons in place of hands on.
Technology is a wonderful tool. But we as a people are becoming more detached from nature. Enter Homeschooling! Many homeschool parents are opting for nature school these days. But that's not always an option, whether they fill up too fast, are out of your budget, or there simply aren't any in your area. That doesn't mean you and your children still can't learn outside at home. Infact, you can do all of your studies outdoors if you'd like.
Children naturally have a curiosity about the world. Which makes any kind of nature science easier to teach. The best way to teach children about nature, is to get out in nature.
I have included some links to some of my favorite nature science mini units and activities! Most of these focus on Herbology and medicinal plants.
These can all be used for kids of various ages.
Most of these are also free!
