I love DIY holidays. But sometimes a simple re-packaged item can be just as cute! You can buy a big tin of cocoa mix (or make your own if you like) and repackage it, slap on a new label and TADA! Adorable gifts from the North Pole. These will go in our stockings from Santa, cocoa for kids and coffee for adults. And yes, Santa leaves stocking gifts for Mom and Dad in our house. These are usually practical items, like razors, deodorant, rubber gloves, and coffee. I find this a good way to show our kids how to be grateful for anything they may get. The kids might not think rubber cleaning gloves are a cool gift, but Mom is still so grateful for the thought! Anyways, Hot Cocoa from Santa will feel like a special gift as well!
You can use any bag, jar, or container. But I love these zipper Kraft food bags. They look adorable, and professional since they can heat seal. The heat seal on the top not only looks professional, but keeps them air tight. And a hair straightener (flat iron) can be used to seal them- no fancy sealer required!
Happy Holidays!
